Sustainable packaging is important because it reduces waste going to landfill, conserves resources by using less raw material, helps the environment by lowering GHG emissions and it meets current demand as the market becomes more environment conscious. PBL proposes different types of packaging, namely returnable packaging (glass, jars, fountains) and light weighed PET bottles (use of less plastic). PBL aspires to further enhance its sustainable packaging portfolio in the long term.
