𝐌𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐦-𝐀𝐤𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐛

𝐌𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐦-𝐀𝐤𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐛 | 𝐌𝐨𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭, powered by 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐚-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐚 & 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. Our first step towards a national awareness campaign for a greener Mauritius, was successfully executed through the 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐄𝐓 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 on 18th & 19th December 2021.

We are 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐟𝐮𝐥 to the 𝟒,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 from Albion, Bambous, Geoffroy, Cascavelle village, Tamarin, Riviere Noire village, Rose Belle, Cité Madame Lolo, Mont Fertile, New Grove, Cité Beau Vallon, Cité La Chaux and Mahebourg who came to our recycling van to dispose their PET plastic bottles.

Through the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏, Coca-Cola, PhoenixEarth Initiative, along with Yes No Solutions, We-Recycle, Mauritius and New Invaders Club intend to promote the sorting of waste and the utilization of recycling bins around Mauritius with the aim of a sustainable island via a door-to-door approach due to the current pandemic situation. In the first phase of this campaign, the recycling van made its way to the Westcoast and to the South-East of Mauritius to raise awareness on plastic pollution and to help citizens of those areas to dispose their plastic waste. The second and third phase shall be completed in Jan and Feb 2022, respectively targeting the whole Mauritian population. We were amazed by the response of the public and with the end results of the first phase of this campaign. The plastic collected will now be given a new life through recycling.

𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧. This is just the beginning of our journey. Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming destinations!
